I grew up reading every issue of Surfer Magazine cover to cover. It has always been an honor to get a feature assignment for “the bible of the sport,” but it’s increasingly rare these days with the state of print media. Hence, I am very excited to share “Dark Horizons,” in the February 2018 issue.

While the photos are top notch and we did document the historic run of swell, I also spoke with key surfers and meteorologists about the insanities of the 2017 hurricane season – the destruction, the affects of climate change on storms, the recovery, and how surfers are seeing our future on the coast. I got to incorporate my time spent in Puerto Rico following Maria with Waves for Water.
