The crew at Jetty are longtime friends and I love every project I get to do with them. When they signed young surfer Mia Gallagher of Ocean City, they had me produce a fun little video welcoming her to the family. Really seems like a great fit. We had some waves and ice cream on a summer day. Is there anything better than that?

I also wrote the social post that went with the release.
“Since day one, Jetty has been based on people. And nothing excites us more than seeing the family grow. We are thrilled to welcome Ocean City, New Jersey’s Mia Gallagher as our newest Jetty Ambassador.
We met Mia through the our Coquina Jam. Each of the last several years, she has made the trip up to LBI and brought beachgoers to their feet with her stylish waveriding. She has won the last two Coquina Jams, in 2019 with Jetty friend and IMSY Swimwear collaborator Katie Imswiler, and in 2020 with longtime Jetty ambassador, Jamie DeWitt.
At just 14 years old, Mia is among the top female surfers on the entire East Coast. She’s the reigning Eastern Surfing Association Regional Champ, a member of the ESA All Star Team, and was a National Finalist at the Rip Curl Grom Search. She’s already competed in some World Surf League Junior Pro events and this season will take her first dive into the WSL’s World Qualifying Series.
But beyond her impressive competitive credentials, we feel Mia is a fantastic fit because she embodies that Draw Your Own Line ethos, already establishing her work ethic at Heritage Surf Shop in Ocean City and pursuing a home school schedule to allow for more pilgrimages to Costa Rica and Hawaii. And even at her young age, she shares our dedication to environmental and social responsibility.
And hey, the girl loves ice cream and fun summer waves as much as we do!
