When Jetty first started printing tees in a garage in 2002, I was just digging my feet in as a freelance writer. I began covering what they were doing for local beach magazines. I helped develop the concept for the Clam Jam in 2007 and I have volunteered as announcer for the Clam and Coquina Jams since. With our friends, we fostered the surf community on Long Beach Island and were ready to rebuild when Superstorm Sandy struck.
Since then, I have worked with them on countless projects – marketing, video direction, Hop Sauce Festival, public relations, live hosting a series called “Craft & Calling,” video direction, writing copy for catalogues or web and most recently, producing shoots, for their 2021 apparel lines.
This was just a short piece I did for them to present their “true north” to the public.
Today, Jetty is a shining example of ethical business practices. They are a Certified B Corp and have created an extended family of which I am proud to be a part of.
